There is research underway at labs at Weill Cornell Medical College and Rockefeller University to discover new therapies for MS by repurposing drugs already FDA-approved for other diseases for use in MS. The faster a patient can get on medication, the less damage to the brain. MS patients need these drugs yesterday.

StandUp2MS is raising $150,000 to fund three researchers at Weill Cornell Medical College’s Vartanian Labs and Rockefellers University - Drs. Gauthier, Linden and Rumah. We’ve already raised $25,000 and need $125,000 more to keep these brilliant researchers moving the frontier of knowledge forward. These three researchers are trying to identify, using innovative imaging techniques and new theories of the origin of MS that they’ve developed, to determine which existing drugs are the best candidates to be repurposed for use in MS.
