Ms. Cindy Shears is an outstanding member of our beloved Brownsville. Ms. Shears is a parent, a volunteer, a coach, and an educator, among other things.
Her involvement and impact in the community such as BISD Wellness Program is well noted. 
This State Teacher of the Year traces her calling to this most noble profession at a young age to her teachers.
Our community is fortunate to have people like Ms. Shears. We need people with great heart and dedication everywhere but it is my opinion that they are needed the most in schools, with our children, and Ms. Shears is right there, believing, caring, serving, teaching, loving.
Ms. Shears currently teaches at Oliveira Middle School where she also sponsors FCA, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes along with other wonderful teachers. Oliveira FCA is not the exception to Ms. Shears' touch as the club enjoys membership and attendance of around 100 students.
With this, I am asking that you join me in showing our love and appreciation to this real Wonder Woman. Ms. Shears will use the funds for the Oliveira FCA club with any club related expenses.
