My Brother Drew's Future

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michelle. My big brother Drew's kidneys are failing. Drew, is a son, brother, husband, father, and PopPop to his grandchildren. He is a fun-loving guy who likes music and movies and fishing for trout at Painter's Pond. He is a God-loving man who has 2 sons and 4 grandchildren who all love him dearly. They make trips to the park, or playground or just stay at home playing games together. He and his wife have been best friends even before they fell in love. He is the kind of guy who always shows up for family, friends and co-workers in his life. He never asks for things for himself he's always giving and working hard.

Then he was dealt a blow, diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease, both of his kidneys were at the point of failure, the point where he would have to begin Dialysis "Renal Replacement Therapy" (a process of a machine hooked up to your body to cleanse your blood), Drew would need a transplant to live! Usually, you are put on a donor list and wait until they can find a match and your turn comes up. My brother's loving wife wouldn't give up, she exhausted every avenue to find a way to help him she even reached out on Facebook to ask anyone who would be willing to donate to answer her prayers and help save her husband and best friend, She never gave up on him and someone did answer! An unbelievably unselfish kind human who has reached out and given my brother one of her kidneys. Our hearts of gratitude flowed like rivers...but the reality is, there is fear for his financial future! That's not my first concern but it's a fact of life...illness becomes money! Paying bills, medication (rejection meds for LIFE), recovery (no work) and not including daily living costs; healthy food, gas, and anything that may come up medically or otherwise. I'm worried for his health and well-being and that the STRESS of all of this will not be a good recovery environment.

I have no idea what the future will be, I ask for prayers and I'm asking for help! Any small amount is everything...Please show up for Drew and help him face the "unknown" with less STRESS and reassurance of the well-being of his family.

Thank you so much!
