Eddie's recovery

*UPDATE*
We are so humbled and thankful for all of the generosity everyone has shown us. It really is a testament to how great the people in our lives are and how much community truly means.

I wanted to give more details as to how the funds are going to impact and aid us as we continue to walk this path to help Eddie recover.

This is going to help us exponentially as we navigate continued costs to help Eddie get into a better place. This money opens the doors to new options of care. We couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to keep trying new things to support him in his healing. This is also going to lighten the burden of breaking our lease in New Jersey and the costs to transport our cars and move our things down to Florida. It will also help us get by with everyday costs of living and past bills we've had weighing on us. We don't know how long it will take Eddie to get to a place where he is functioning like he used to, where he can independently navigate his mental fight without me there supporting him. Knowing that we have this to lean on as long as it's needed, is such a relief. We cannot thank everyone enough for their sincere generosity and for sharing this with their circles.

May God bless you all and reward you tenfold for helping us through this time. We love you and we have never felt so much overwhelming love and support. Please keep praying for Eddie's healing, for ease for him, for a swift journey in getting through this, and to keep hope in his heart that there is an end in sight.

Hi friends,

As much as it pains me to have to put this fundraiser together, I don't really feel like we have many options at the moment. Our family has recently been affected by a mental health crisis, which has been ailing my husband, Eddie, in a crippling way since the beginning of this year.

He hasn't been able to work due to the nature of his problems. I've been staying by his side to help him through everything. Because of this, I have also been unable to work, all while also taking care of our 2 year old.

We have been exploring as many different avenues as we can to support Eddie and to help him heal. This has led us to the realization that we need to relocate back to Florida, a place where we have so many resources, community support, and a place where Eddie feels a bit more peace. Getting him help has been costly and things have been piling up with us unable to work. Unfortunately, it will continue to until Eddie is in a better place mentally, a place where I feel comfortable leaving him so I can work.

We are leaning on family and friends for support, but it has been difficult. It is so hard to have to admit we need help, but we do, and this is what humanity is all about, helping each other. With much humility, we ask for help and support in whatever way is easy for our friends and family. Whether that is praying extra prayers for Eddie's healing, a financial contribution toward our bills, or sharing this with people you think may want to help us through this. We love you. We appreciate you. We are so grateful to be lifted up by all our loved ones right now and sincerely hope that things will get easier for Eddie soon.

Thank you for reading and for caring!
