After seven years fighting Lymphoma and Leukemia I am happy to say I am a cancer survivor. To get to this point in my journey I had to have a bone marrow transplant (BMT).  The BMT led to a new illness - Chronic Graft VS. host Disease (GVHD),

GVHD has my immune system attacking my body. My joints have seized up so I cannot extend my arms or legs. My new normal has me confined to a wheelchair. 

My new normal has made life as a single mom of three active children very hard.  I was always been an active mom in my children's lives, cooking healthy meals, attending their many activities, and enjoying their zest for life. I am blessed to be alive. My goal is to adapt to my new life and become an active participant in my children's lives. They have had to deal with so much, I just want to ease their burden by being a fully functional mom again.

Now I must rely on my children to do things that are hard for me - like cooking, the laundry, and grocery shopping. I am asking for help to raise funds to make my kitchen handicap accessible , create a main floor laundry room, and perhaps find a wheel chair van.
