Ms. Hemm's 10th & 12th Grade

The first senior class of Cristo Rey San Jose will be graduating this year and heading to college. We want to be able to provide them with the most rigorous, all encompassing English experience possible to prepare them for college level reading and writing. My current 10th grade class will be the third graduating class in the year 2020. Please help support our students in pursuing their dreams and preparing for a bright future.

All of our students come from underserved communities and the vast majority will be the first in their families to go to college. Cristo Rey San Jose pulls from over forty different schools in the Bay Area, with some students commuting even as far as East Palo Alto for their education. Our student population is made up of sons and daughters of parents who trust us to give their children the absolute best we can provide. Their personal access to resources should not be a barrier to their future success, and with your help, we can start transforming dreams into realities.

All donations will be allocated to purchasing class sets of novels for 10th and 12th grade, attending local drama productions, and participating in curriculum and mission based field trips. We are hoping to raise enough money to buy a copy of each book for each student, so that they may fully invest in their reading comprehension, annotating and analysis at home and at school as they prepare for college. We are also hoping to be able to purchase Membean, an online adaptive and personalized vocabulary tool. Furthermore, part of becoming a college ready students is exposure to the performing arts and hands on experiences such as field trips to enhance learning. It would make all the difference for our students and growing community. Thank you for any consideration: a like, a share, a single dollar. No matter how grand or small, we truly appreciate your contribution. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. We truly appreciate it.
