Chris and I have been friends with Ross and Kim since the big hair days of the early 80s when Chris (soundman) and Ross (guitar player/vocalist) worked together in the Molly Maguires. Ross and Kim share a love for each other that is rarely seen. They are going through some really tough times now with health and financial issues and are close to losing their home. Kim doesn't get out that much due to health issues. Their home is right on a lake with about 30-40 ducks she's friends with. Ross posted the following earlier today on facebook. I know it wasn't easy for him to ask for help but true love for another person makes us step out of our comfort zone.

Hi everyone. For anyone who knows me, no, this is not some joke. I need help.
Several years ago, my wife of (almost) 25 years had a plate in her neck fail. She was almost paralyzed and had to have a 10+ hour surgery to replace the plate and attempt to repair the damage. She is not paralyzed but she can no longer work (she was an RN). While she was recovering, i was her primary caregiver. It was during this time that i lost my job of over 15 years. After several months i found something (got my CDL) i wanted to do. Then, about 3 months ago, i was hit from behind twice in the space of 5 days. Both times i was sitting still in traffic. As a result of my back and neck injuries i can't do much for very long.
It has reached a point where I'm out of resources. In about 10 days I'm going to lose my home. Any relief i can expect is weeks away. After spending most of my life under the delusion that i was something, the last year has humbled me.
We have no family to ask for help, and I'm desperate to keep my wife safe. All i can think of is to ask everyone i know/knew if they can help me through the next few weeks. If you can give whatever amount of money, I'm hoping that the total might be enough to save the house for my wife until i can sort this mess out.
