Donate to help Wayne Kick Cancer's @$$!

Hey, it’s Neal. I'm asking for your help for my good friend Wayne, who has been battling cancer and out of work. He is honestly the best damn guy you could wish to know. No joke (although, if you wanted a joke Wayne has one for you. If you’ve met Wayne, you can no longer say you have never had a belly ache from laughing. It's impossible!!)

Wayne has made so many days of so many peoples’ lives happier. I wanted to take this opportunity to send some joy back his way, since it’s been a struggle for him these past few years, trying to stay afloat with medical bills while struggling to be healthy enough to work.

Accepting help from anyone can be difficult, so I reached out to make sure it was okay to do this for him. He said he would be ok accepting some help, as he is worried about the electric bill and heating his place this winter in WA.. He's concerned if there are any surprises - like the dog gets sick or the car needs a repair - he will be in trouble. “If another $600 bill comes in, I'll be in a bad spot.” So let's help him out. I will be contributing what I can, in the hopes Wayne won't have to worry this winter.

Fun stories about Wayne:

Wayne was recently told he had to have another of so many tests and treatment in the Marble building of the Hospital. Wayne replied, “Oh that's exciting, it’s the only building I haven't been to yet!” His surgeon joked that he didn't want Wayne to get better, because he wouldn't need to come back. Wayne just makes peoples’ days better.

Hugo, a waiter and co-worker of Wayne’s at Chez Nous, a restaurant in LA, told Wayne that when he used to come into work, if he saw Wayne he would think, “Oh my God, this is going to be such a good day!” This is what Wayne lives for, making people happy.

Wayne and I used to wait tables together at Chez Nous. I’m pretty sure Wayne single handedly kept the doors to the place open for 20 plus years. Sure, the food was great, but the majority of regulars came for Wayne. That's my truth, you're welcome to your version of the story :-)

When I moved out of LA, Wayne collected money from all the servers to help me afford the move. It meant a lot to me, and he just did it because it is who he is. So I’m trying to return the favor as best I can. Know that whatever contribution you can make is going to a good person for a warm, hopefully worry-free winter. Thank you so much in advance for helping.
