Single mom battling cancer

On August 12, 2020, Rachel’s world was changed when she was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. This Diagnosis came immediately after having recovered from surgery to remove severely pre-cancerous tissue in another area of her body. After months of going through this medical ordeal, Rachel found the large lump in her breast. Her medical team has chosen a very aggressive course of treatment and she has already started chemotherapy. Rachel originally thought she would be able to continue working at least the first few months of treatment, however after her first treatment, she realized this will not be the case, and she has already had to take several days off. Rachel will most likely exhaust all of her sick/vacation hours before she is even partially through her treatment cycle. Rachel has already had to miss a considerable amount of work for several tests, procedures, continual bloodwork, and in order to allow her body to heal and recover just in time to have her next round of chemo. This woman amazes me every single day and she deserves to be able to put her health first and focus on finding some healing.
Rachel, 35 years-old, was born and raised in Southern California. She is an Army Veteran, who specialized in helicopter Avionic Mechanics, Recruiting & Retention, and was a part of a counterdrug taskforce. She enlisted at age 18 after graduating high school at age 16 and starting college. Rachel is a single full-time mom to a 9 year-old daughter who is her whole world. Her daughter Jordan is her life’s greatest fulfillment. Jordan is a part of every aspect of Rachel’s life. For the last several years, Rachel has been dedicated to two jobs, at one point also being a full-time student at Azusa Pacific University, working hard to complete her Bachelor degree online. She is a highly skilled, hard-working Administrative Assistant for the San Bernardino County Superior Court and in the late evenings she works in Loss Prevention for Kohl’s. Rachel even makes time to participate in a support group at her local Veteran’s Center. This woman deserves all the love and kindness in the world because that is all that she gives to others.
With this GOFUNDME, we are hoping to give this selfless, kind hearted, intelligent, hardworking, generous, wonderful human being some financial relief for bills and expenses, so she can put all of her energy into getting better. Rachel has found herself in a position of not having her usual income, very soon, and having some considerable gaps to fill. Rachel should not have to carry the weight of the world and be undergoing chemotherapy. Please help this woman make it through this incredibly difficult time and give as generously as you are able to. Any donation will help carry Rachel and her family through this challenging time. Her daughter needs her to get well. Her mother, siblings, and extended family need her to stress less. Her friends need her to relax and focus on the journey ahead of her so that there may be more memories to be made in the future. Her coworkers don’t want to imagine a work day without her. Search your heart, search your soul, and please put yourself in her shoes and think about how much you would be relying on the kindness of others during such an overwhelming, uncertain, scary, and difficult time. Rachel & her medical team expect her treatment to last through June of 2021. Thank you for your time and consideration. May you be blessed with good health as well as an abundance of peace and love in your life.
