If you know Marie (our Mom) you know shes always a happy lady, yeah sometimes crazy, but her crazy is a awesome crazy! Very straight out(blunt) , just so honest, she always keeps it real. She’s always messing around, friendly to everyone, even if you’ve done her wrong or youre not too nice she will still treat you with respect and be kind to you. She’s always put her kids first.  She’s a selfless woman, she’s always trying to help someone or fix something or someone. She will give you her very last dollar, she will feed the block, with the little she’s got. The strongest woman I’ve  ever known, Rare that she asks for help, in her own words, “ I can do it, I don’t like to bother anyone,” she always figures it out. My mom has always been an independent, strong woman.
OUR mother is a true Bad ass! I’m truly honored to be her “mini me”
Thank you Mom for “training”me well! #proudyorgullosa

All begun May 2017, my mom was having strange symptoms... firstly it started with a faint.  Ambulance were called, test were performed such as (CAT scan, X-rays and MRI) they said there were signs of a stroke. But nothing was confirmed. Doctors put her on choloestrol and seizure medication. Soon after she had symptoms of numbness, her neurologist couldn’t diagnose anything. So my mom suffered with these symptoms for almost a year. Her last MRI was in January 2018, her results were negative, no sign of any tumor! Fast forward to March 2018, she started to get a bit worse, she complained about a headache for 4 days.... during those 4 days, she showed confusion, delusional, sensitive to light, wouldn’t change her clothes, she seemed very sad, I really thought my mom was suffering from depression. March 18th, I drove her to PIH downey ER....... they performed a MRI and a CT SCAN.

A 3- centimeter tumor was discovered. This tumor is the worst tumor and the bitch has a long ass name but we’ve learned to say it alright. (GLIOBLASTOMA) google it.

Soon after diagnosis, she got surgery. The  plan was to remove 80-90%. Unfortunately doctors were only able to remove 40-50%, since the tumor is very aggressive. If more would have been removed, they would’ve caused her severe damage (vegetative condition or death)
She had some time to recover from surgery, her oncologist decided her Prognosis would be radiation and chemo.  She was discharged from the hospital, we waited patiently for the planning for her treatment, while still healing from her surgery. Finally her date (4/23) for first day of treatment was near.... but unfortunately  4/19, my mom was unresponsive, very weak. Ambulance came for her, she had signs of a stroke.  Once we arrived to the hospital, ER doctor tells me to “say your last words to your mother, she’s going to stop breathing!” It was the worst moment. They Put a tube down her throat to assist her breathing, yet with a slight chance she will still stop breathing.  Once again test were performed, to find out the tumor was growing and shifting. They put her on inflammation medication, still Hospitalize. Here comes “the day” April 23. She had her first treatment, then the next day her second, she was sick, very sick. Vomiting like crazy, but they still discharged her, saying those were the side effects of the treatment (chemo, and radiation)  we brought her home at 8:30pm. The next day at 8am ambulance were called, once again she was breathing but unresponsive. Test were done, to find out the brain was shifted 2 centimeters more compare to 4/19.  At this point doctors started saying treatment isnt beneficial to her. She refused treatment, she cried saying it hurts horribly. She just wants to be home with her babies and all her friends and family. She loves visitors, she wants everyone to spend the night at my house. Doctors have said she has 1-2 months to live, but it’s god way not the doctors. I can honestly say she’s a fighter, she’s fighting although she’s not getting the treatment. She’s a tough cookie! She has always been a fighter and she will not leave this earth without a fight! We have faith in god, we surrender our mother to the lord, it’s his plan, his timing. We believe in miracles, we hope for a miracle.
