My name is Sergejs. I’m a husband and a father to a wonderful 6‑year‑old boy, and I’ve always believed in leading by example — showing my son that growth, courage, and education are worth fighting for.
My journey into Control, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence began while I was working as a Systems Engineer at GE Power. I enjoyed the work, but over time, I felt myself hitting a ceiling. I wanted to grow, to contribute more, and to step into a field that is shaping the future — but without a dedicated educational background, opportunities were limited. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get a chance to move into the roles I aspired to.
So in September 2024, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life:
I resigned from my job and committed fully to pursuing an MSc in Control, Automation, and AI at Coventry University.
It was a leap of faith — financially, professionally, and personally — but I believed in my potential. I studied full‑time, worked tirelessly, and successfully completed my degree, graduating in November 2025.
After graduating, I focused on finding a role specifically in Control, Automation, and AI. Unfortunately, the UK job market has been extremely selective, and despite my qualifications and determination, I struggled to secure a position in my field. I explored several opportunities along the way, but ultimately decided to carve my own path rather than settle for something unrelated to my long‑term goals.
Today, I’m continuing to build my future in this industry — but I’m also facing the financial reality of the journey I took.
I borrowed from Student Finance England to fund my MSc, and my remaining balance is £12,089.57.
Why I’m Fundraising?
I’m raising funds to help cover this tuition balance so I can move forward without the weight of this financial burden holding me back. Your support would not only help me repay the loan — it would help me continue building a career that can provide stability for my family and allow me to contribute meaningfully to the fields of automation and AI.
How the Funds Will Be Used
100% of the funds will go directly toward repaying my Student Finance England tuition balance of £12,089.57.
Any additional support will help me cover job‑search and professional development costs as I continue pursuing roles in Control, Automation, and AI.
Why This Means So Much
This degree wasn’t just a qualification — it was a commitment to my future, my family, and my belief that growth is always possible. I took a risk to better myself, and I’m proud of what I achieved. Now, I’m asking for support to help close this chapter so I can fully focus on building the next one.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Any contribution — big or small — means more than I can express. Even sharing this campaign helps tremendously.
For every donation made I will post a video on YouTube: www.youtube.com/@NiT-NailediT.
This is my channel and this is my way to say thank you to all of you.
