Moonstone Cellars Fundraiser for CASA-SLO County

Moonstone Cellars is pleased to sponsor this fundraising campaign for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of San Luis Obispo County. CASA of SLO County advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the court system. CASA recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who advocate for this vulnerable population with the goal of ensuring that each and every child grows up in a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.

 

In a typical year in SLO county, 500 children come under the court’s care. CASA currently has volunteers providing one-on-one help to 169 of these children. Meanwhile, 143 children await their own dedicated, enthusiastic volunteer.

 

Moonstone Cellars and patrons of our Open Mic event nights want to help CASA of SLO County fund activities to recruit and train CASA volunteers. All dollars donated to CASA stay here in this county helping local children.
