Kristy is loved by so many. Our family has been asked by many how they can help. Our family has pulled together and we are fighting breast cancer together. Kristy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer end of September 2021. At first we were told it was the type that is the easiest to cure. With every appointment the news kept getting a little worse then each time. She had genetic testing that found she had the Bard 1 gene which they are stilling learning about. She ended up having a bilateral mastectomy with a radical axillary resection. Findings were that she has 9 out of 19 lymph nodes positive. Which we keep being told “it’s a lot”. She has had infection from her mastectomy and has had to be reopened twice. Her treatment plan as of now is Red Devil chemo every 2 weeks for 16 weeks followed by radiation 5xweek for 5 weeks. She had a port a cath placed yesterday. Today we are doing all the scans to see if it has spread. Currently she is Stage 3. My mom and her kids live with her. Kristy cannot work. My mom and her kids are doing everything they can along with me, Shane and a close family member of o keep that house a float. Christmas will be rough for her if she is able to start chemo on Dec 20th. So for the question how can we help. The answer is in any way that you can! A text of love and support, a visit, a call, or if someone has service that can help, or monetary. Anything at all is appreciated. I know in my heart she will win this battle but we are trying to make sure her home doesn’t crumble or her fight gets to much. I will do my best to keep everyone up to date but things are moving quickly. Christmas, bills, medical bills are rolling in.
