Andrea is living with MSA, a rare and rapidly progressing neurological disease that impacts mobility, speech, and swallowing among other things. If you know Andrea, you know her humor, her laugh, her good nature, and her zest for life. None of that has changed, but her ability to communicate has. I'm Andrea's speech-language pathologist, and we recently applied to get her a speech-generating device that will allow her to use her eyes to communicate with her husband, her sons, her friends, and her medical team.
