Hi, my name is Shirley. If you know me, you know I’m a private person who works hard and handles things quietly. But recently, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, and my life changed overnight.

I am currently undergoing chemotherapy, with surgery and radiation ahead. I’m incredibly grateful for my care team and the loved ones supporting me, but this has been one of the hardest battles I’ve ever faced.

For years, I have been working two jobs to make ends meet. Unfortunately, chemotherapy has weakened my immune system, and I have had to give up my part-time job. Losing that income has created added financial hardship at a time when my medical expenses continue to grow.

Although I have health insurance, I have not yet reached my out-of-pocket maximum, and I am still responsible for many treatment-related costs, medications, doctor visits, and everyday bills.

Right now, my focus is on fighting this disease, healing, and staying strong throughout treatment. Asking for help is not easy for me, but any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden of medical expenses and lost income so I can focus on my recovery.
