Pilgrimages

Hello! My name is Maria Brown. This year I have the special opportunity to study at Franciscan University's campus in Austria. I have worked hard to pay all the expenses required, and to earn money to do some traveling.

Very recently, I was informed that I would also have the chance to go on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land with the faculty from the Austrian campus (there were limited spots and I was originally told there was no room). I have always dreamed of walking where Jesus walked and praying at the places where He worked, taught, suffered, died, and rose from the tomb. However, I am lacking funds for this pilgrimage, even though I have worked two jobs this summer.

If you would like to help me realize this desire to walk and pray in the footsteps of Jesus, I would be most grateful, and I would pray for you by name at each of the holy sites. Know that if you donate toward this pilgrimage, all of your funds will go directly to being able to afford this trip (if there is any excess, it will be used exclusively for other pilgrimages that I will be making this semester). The cost of the trip includes only the most basic lodging and simple food. We will be sleeping mostly on floors and even outdoors at some points.

I will probably never have this amazing opportunity again. Usually, it would cost me a lot more to be able to travel to the Holy Land for 10 days and visit these important places of my faith. I am so thankful to God that a spot opened up for me to go with the group from Austria. I hope that with your help, I can make this once-in-a-lifetime experience happen!
