As many of you have known, Ms. Yuko has been going through intensive chemotherapy to help combat the return of her cervical cancer. Unfortunately the cancer cells have spread quicker than the therapy can help and it has come to the unfortunate conclusion that our dear friend and teacher is in her final stage of her life. The doctors have estimated that she has 6 months to a year left.
Ms. Yuko has been a part of my life since I was 7 years old back in 1998 when she took me on as her piano student. I am confident that I am not the only one who she has helped shape and develop their musical abilities. My brother, me, and the rest of my family are forever indebted for her services as a teacher, and as a close family friend so it is the least we can do to start this fundraiser for her.
As her time slowly approaches your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes will be much appreciated and valued for Ms. Yuko and her sister Ikuko during this time.
With various doctor visits, treatments, and eventual hospice care, there has been a sudden financial burden put on their shoulders. Though strong now and teaching, it is unclear how much longer Ms. Yuko may be able to work to pay off these growing medical expenses. She is self-employed and her singular source of income is teaching piano. We want her to be comfortable and not have to worry about teaching all her students to pay for her medical bills and make ends meet.
With that being said, we kindly ask that you consider donating to help Ms. Yuko in this time of need. I know she and Ikuko will be eternally grateful for any amount that you are willing to provide. If we can work together, we can make Ms. Yuko’s final days a calm and peaceful one.
The money we collect on behalf of Ms. Yuko will all be sent to her and will be used towards additional radiation treatments, medications, various hospital bills that she has accumulated these past couple of years, hospice care, and basic amenities like food and rent for her home when she can no longer teach and maintain a sustainable income. These funds will be collected and sent to my bank account and I will be sending them to Ms. Yuko directly by check as we collect and reach our ultimate $10,000 goal for her.
Thank you so much for considering a donation,
