As many of you already know, I love being outdoors and taking on new adventures. From hiking and completing the Three Peaks Challenge, to scrambling up mountains, taking the stairs to the top of the Sky Garden, and even jumping out of planes (with a parachute!), I’m always looking for my next challenge.

A lifelong dream of mine has been to trek in the Himalayas — and this April, I’ll be doing just that. I’ll be attempting a two-week expedition to reach Everest Base Camp. If my body adapts well to the high altitude, I’ll reach an incredible 5,364 metres (17,575 feet) above sea level.

This challenge also gives me a wonderful opportunity to raise funds for our school, which is currently in need of additional resources.

Our fundraising target is £2,500.

This money would go towards providing a high-quality mud kitchen for our Early Years outdoor provision.

If we’re lucky enough to raise more than this, additional funds would go towards partial external flooring for the EYFS playground. This would allow us to safely use our climbing frame and better support our young children’s physical development, confidence, and wellbeing. Any extra funds could also help provide much-needed outdoor resources across the whole school.

Any donation, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated and will make a real difference.
