Ms. Williams Bikes for Holidays

We’ve met our goal! I am soooo filled. I want to thank everyone who donated and shared this fundraiser with their family and friends. Because of your generosity, we’ve crushed the initial goal. Now that resources have expanded, we can spread holiday cheer to more students. Wow! I’m so appreciative! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I absolutely love being Ms. Williams! Teaching is my life, my love and my purpose.  With education, I can directly positively influence society. Holistic education gives students an edge on life, as it prepares them for college and/or career. Teaching has made my life so rewarding. It is the gift that keeps on giving!

I currently teach in a low income area at a Title 1 school. Many of my students are faced with a copious amount of disadvantages. Many of their basic needs are not met. Inevitably, holidays and gifts are a rarity due to lack of monetary resources.

The holidays should be a joyous time for all! Therefore, for the past two years, I have made the holidays full of cheer by gifting each student a bicycle in my class. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide bikes for my students this year.

I teach my students to not give up and to be resilient when faced with a setback. This is a character trait that helps them navigate life and to be successful no matter what they are faced with. I want to practice what I preach and not give up on spreading holiday cheer to my students. I am hopeful that this year, with the help of donations, my current students will all be able to get a shiny new bike for the holidays. 

Through your donation, you will help make the holidays a special one. The bicycle will be the only gift they will receive this holiday for many of my students!
