Ms. Whiskers' journey over the rainbow bridge

My precious darling girl is in advanced kidney failure. At home humane euthanasia + cremation is currently out of my budget - I've spent the past few weeks out of state caring for my grandmother in hospice and have not been able to work. I've scheduled her appointment, any and all support is appreciated beyond words. Thank you so much as we grieve in this impossible time.
I rescued Ms. W after she was dumped in a state park in 2012. She's been my constant companion since then. She was there for me in my darkest moments. She is the friendliest kitty I've ever known - if you were a new person coming into my house, she makes effort to get into your lap to cuddle as fast as she is able. I don't have words for how much I love her and how hard it is to let her go. But I don't want her to suffer and she is in fast decline. I don't know how I'll be able to say goodbye, but Nick and I will have each other as we process this grief. Thank you.
