Parents of students at the Community School for People Under Six have come together to help raise emergency health recovery funds for a beloved teacher, Ms. Velma, who has been working at CSPU6 for 31 years!

Unfortunately, Ms. Velma recently required a life saving and extensive surgery to remove identified brain tumors. Fortunately, the surgery went well and Ms. Velma is on the path to recovery.

However, to support her recovery, we would like to help raise funds to assist paying for the various expenses that don’t stop when you have to step back from employment for medical reasons (e.g., rent, utility bills, food costs, continued medical appointments, etc.).

We are hopeful that raising funds to help relieve Ms. Velma’s short term financial stressors will help her journey to a full recovery! Our young people miss their dedicated and loving teacher, Ms. Velma!
