Ms Vanessa FENG; an international student

Donation protected
It gives us great pleasure to introduce Ms Vanessa FENG; an international student at Cleveland District State High School currently studying her second year of the International Baccalaureate Program (Year 12). Vanessa is an exceptional student in every respect. To support this claim, we thank you for reviewing Vanessa’s CV (Achievements and Awards) as listed below.

So why should we support Vanessa? In her home country of China, Vanessa comes from a very modest upbringing. It has always been her dream to study in Australia and work hard to create positive change for her own future. Moving forward, Vanessa intends to contribute significantly to the scientific community in Australia; with the aim to improve the lives of other people through scientific innovation. Without a doubt, Vanessa will be a game changer. (Have you checked Vanessa’s CV below yet? Impressive isn’t it!)

So, what else makes Vanessa worth the investment? Unlike many teenagers, Vanessa works three jobs to significantly fund her education tuition fees in Australia. This has amounted to tens of thousands of dollars over the past few years. So, when she’s not studying, topping her classes, volunteering to lead learning initiatives at school (and beyond) AND being the school captain, Vanessa is working in our local shops and cafes to lessen the financial burden on her family. Honestly, Vanessa’s work ethic is simply outstanding and her commitment to make an academic impact at both a local, state, national and international level is impressive.

Still need to know more? Vanessa is a ‘Covid-kid’ – we use this term to describe international students who have been trapped on shore for years without the opportunity to return home due to border restrictions. Can you imagine it? Marooned in Australia without returning home to see your natural family for over 4 years and, still managing to have the determination and resilience to achieve so highly whilst funding your own way. Vanessa is inspiration personified; Aussie speak: She’s a keeper!

So…our collective aim is fund Vanessa’s Education Queensland International tuition fees for Semester 2, 2023 ($7000 +) and any other incidental educational requirements. This small amount of money will gift Vanessa the opportunity to be just like other students and, lessen her daily stress so she can focus on her studies without the encumbrance of financial strain. Vanessa has given so much to our community. It’s lovely to have the opportunity to give back and make a real change for someone very special. Please consider supporting this exceptional young person. She’s a top investment in all of our futures
