Help Ms. Stormy Get Her Teach On!

Hello, beautiful humans!

My name is Stormy Freeman, aka Ms. Stormy, and I have been an educator in South Florida for over 15 years. My teaching experiences range from toddlers through Kindergarten. I am currently blessed to teach Kindergarten at the amazing Heron Heights Elementary School in Parkland, FL, where my class is known as The Garden.

I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Get Your Teach On 1-day Pop-up event on Saturday, September 27th, in Fort Lauderdale and was truly inspired by the level of dedication and drive of these educators.

Get Your Teach On is celebrating their 10-year anniversary and will be having their 2026 GYTO National Conference in Orlando, FL, at the World Center Marriott, July 5th-8th.

I am so excited that this is so close to my hometown. Typically, BCPS teachers who have been working for the district for 5 years or more can apply for a grant through the TDIF (Teacher Directed Improvement Fund) to offset costs for experiences such as this.

Though I have been an educator in Broward County for over 15 years, I have only just started my 3rd year employed with the district. Because of this, I am not eligible for the grant, and that is why I am here, sharing this with you.

The cost for this 3-day conference (not including hotel or food) is $664. If you are interested in donating to help support this professional development experience for myself, I would be extremely thankful.
