I am sure that everyone is aware that New Orleans East had a massive tornado come through on February 7th 2017.

Our lovely Aretha Conley (Ms. Rita) from Restaurant August, unfortunately lost her home on Reeade Blvd in the east, during the storm.

My name is Patty Morton, I am the pastry chef for Restaurant August and have had the pleasure of working with Ms.Rita for several years. I am just trying to help her and her loved ones reach out to as many people as possible.

Any little bit helps, lets start to get her and her family back on their feet and start to rebuild. Your donations will go toward the start of them rebuilding their home while they wait for the Insurance Company to come through. Those of you who went through Katrina know how long that can take.

The first this that your donations will go towards is for Ms. Rita, her husband and their granddaughter who lives with then to find an apartment for them to live in for the time being.

They also lost all their clothes and shoes. They will need womans shoes in sizes 8 and 8 1/2. Men's 11.

We are also trying to organize other ways to help this family. Restaurant August has sent them food . And hopefully once the mess is cleared we can help locate and pay for a contractor to get started. 

Johnny Sanchez will; be accepting donations for everyone who was effected such as: cleaning supplies, non perishable food items and disposable utensils/ plates/ cups.
