Ms. Rhoades was recently hospitalized for a seizure and then it was discovered that she has a mass on her brain. She'll be staying with her daughter's family until the surgery (March 31st) and then there will be a recovery time where support will most likely be needed.
As we all know, hospitalizations are stressful, time consuming and expensive. We would love to cover any food expenses, baby sitting for the grandchildren during hospital visits, specialist co-pays and support during the recovery process.
So many people have asked for a way to support Ms. Rhoades and her family! She has built a special bond with hundreds of students, instilled a love of learning and a sense of community that only a master teacher can do. In this time of social distancing, making meals and visiting are not feasible options, but we want to make sure that they are well supported regardless. Through this avenue, her family can use the funds as needed in whatever way takes away some of the overwhelming stress.
