My name is Nivea McCarty. I am from Louisiana and currently a second-year student at Georgia State University, majoring in real estate. I am honored to be a contestant in the Miss Old Gold & Black Zeta Mu Pageant. Throughout this journey, I am raising funds to support my platform: Single Mothers and Children Living in Section 8 Housing.
This cause is deeply important to me because single mothers often carry the full responsibility of providing for their families with limited resources. Many children in these communities face challenges such as a lack of school supplies, limited access to enrichment opportunities, and financial hardship. Through my platform, I aim to uplift, support, and give back to these deserving families.
My goal is to raise $1,000 by April to make a meaningful impact. The funds raised will go toward: • Care packages for single mothers
• School supplies and educational resources for children
• Community outreach and support initiatives
• Small, uplifting events for families living in Section 8 communities
This pageant is more than a competition for me; it is an opportunity to serve, give back, and represent the principles of service, leadership, and community empowerment inspired by the men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc..
Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to making a real difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
Thank you for supporting my journey and helping me uplift single mothers and their children. Together, we can create change and spread hope.
With gratitude, Nivea
