UPDATE 12/25/22: I learned last night that Ms.Marthas family had started a Gofundme for her home repairs. This has caused much confusion as to the validity of this Gofundme. Ms Martha will continue to receive all donations as she already has been. New roof, electrical work,and more plumbing work will be done & I hope she never has to pay another bill. THIS SITE ORIGINATED DECEMBER 2,*** Martha Menefield, 82, was recently arrested, handcuffed, and taken to jail in Valley, Alabama. She owed $77 in trash fees & was put in a jail cell that was like a cage she says. She was told not to cry but she couldn't help it. Ms Martha says she is so ashamed and humiliated and doesn't think she'll get over it. ***❤️Thankfully those charges have been dropped❤️***. Through your kindness and generosity the water has been turned back on and paid up for a few months, the 30 yr old plumbing is being repaired and is quite extensive due to age. As of right now the water is off again for who knows how long due to her plumbing issues and can't be fixed fast enough.
