Many of you may remember or be good friends of Ms. Manal and her son, Shawn Lawrence. Ms. Manal and Shawn are exceptionally kind. They were part of our OCS community for years. She has loved and helped care for many of our children. Now her son, Shawn, needs our help.

They have survived some difficulties in their family, and Shawn is now in need of an attorney for protecting his mother. We are hoping to raise $10,000 by October 31st. We realize this is a big ask and a short timeline, but we know our community can do it.

To respect their privacy, we are not providing additional details. However, regardless of the circumstances, we know that to get Shawn help and ensure his safety, it is necessary to raise these funds for hiring an attorney as soon as possible.
