Ms. Lord's 1st Grade Class
On August 14th, I will start my journey as a 1st grade teacher at Rocketship Brilliant Minds in East San Jose. Rocketship is a high-need elementary school serving a diverse and culturally rich student population. I want to create an environment where my students feel safe and have a strong sense of belonging. I aspire for my classroom to provide my students with the foundation and materials they need to succeed academically and socially.
In order to achieve education equity for all students, it is essential for students to feel motivated and inspired by their surroundings. As part of Teach For America, I strongly belive in holding my students to high expectations.
