Lora Thompson was a wonderful Christian woman. She was a delightful and positive person to work with. She worked at Adult Day Services as a CNA. Adult Day Services was a facility that looked after senior citizens during the day. Most of the folks she cared for lived with their children. They could no longer safely be left alone. Their families chose not to put them in a nursing home. Ms. Lora bathed, fed,  changed, and cared for the elderly. She did so in a loving and humble manner.
      She rode her bike to work everyday. Im talking from 3rd NE to Shenandoah (behind Wal-Mart). I looked this up. It is a four mile bike ride each way (8 miles everyday). That was done Monday-Friday all year long. By a woman who was taking care of people close to her own age. On days that were extremely hot, raining, or brutally cold Ms. Lora would accept a ride from me. Most days she would politely decline. She was the first to arrive at work (even though everyone else had a vehicle and no excuse ) she was the last to leave. She was an incredibly hard working woman and left a lasting impression on me.
         Ms. Lora was hit by a bus and thought to be dead. She was told she would never walk  again, but she did. She was told she would never use her arms again as well. She told me that everyday she lifted soup cans until she couldn't do it any longer. She did use those arms again to care for Grandmas, Memaws, Memes, Mommys, Grandpas, Pawpaws, and Daddys! Ms Lora's life was hard. She never showed anything but kindness. When she crosses over GOD will surely reward her with eternal sunshine. Please! Please! Please! Help this ANGEL be buried with the DIGNITY she deserves.
