On 12/31/2020  Ms. Jane Perez had passed away.  She was truly a dear friend to me, but to countless people throughout the Cedar Park area.   She had the biggest heart and welcomed everyone with open arms.  She taught me that love was without limits.

She passed away suddenly on New Year's Eve 2020.  After all of the hardships this year, this just made things so much harder.  Unfortunately, the medical bills and funeral costs were not put in place and the full expenses are place on her daughter.

Below is Ms. Jane's life story Please read to get to know how she changed the community and touched so many lives through love and dance.   She gave so much to the community that she left nothing for herself.    Please consider donating and sharing this Go Fund Me because she was truly left a legacy of love and charity.  Thank you and warmest wishes of a better New Year.

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Mary Jane Perez.  Better known as. “Ms. Jane” throughout the community. She became our angel in Heaven on New Years Eve 2020. (12/31/2020)

Jane joined her beloved Husband, Marty Lecher, her Mom (Mary Jane Bare Perez) and Dad (Benjamin Perez) and her brothers and sister along with her infant daughter.

Jane Perez was an angel her on Earth.  She was born on 12/11/1948 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ms. Jane’s mother had passed away when Jane was only 17 years old. As a result, Jane had selflessly taken on the responsibility to raise her younger siblings, whom were only 4 and 5 years old at the time.  She dedicated all of her young adult life being a mother to her siblings and she continued caring for them throughout there lives.

On April 20. 1967, Jane married the love of her life, Marty Lecher.  They married after 2 weeks of dating and spent their life together until Marty passed away 27 years later.  Jane and Marty relocated to Cedar Park, Texas in the 1970’s as Marty was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force.   During that time, Jane had 2 children Ben and Melonie. Jane was such as strong woman as she raised her children during times of deployment.  Soon after Marty was discharged, they decided to make their permanent home in Cedar Park, Texas.

Jane’s legacy started in the 1980’s.  She had single handily founded Ms. Jane’s School of Dance.  For 23 years, she had touched the lives of countless students. Ms. Jane’s School of Dance earned several awards throughout the years. However, it was really about was the love and care that Jane had shown to all of her student.  She never rejected anyone based on inability to pay or lack of transportation.  She always made sure that anyone who wanted to dance was able to participate; no matter what the circumstance.  Ms. Jane’s school of dance was more than just a dance studio.  It was a place for children to gain confidence in themselves as Ms. Jane treated everyone with kindness and love.  After all of these years, Ms. Jane still received phone calls, notes of appreciation and hugs from former parents and students.

Jane had also been and active member at St. Margert Mary’s Catholic Church in Cedar Park, Texas, where she was known for her service and charity for over 30 years.

Jane leaves behind children Ben Lecher (Maria Lecher) and Melonie Lecher Langer ( Jon Langer) In addition,  Jane was a loving Nana who was so proud of her grandchildren, Natalie Lecher,  Marty Butler, and Aiden Butler.  Jane also left behind so many loving friends who had become family.  Her home and her heart were always open.  Jane left us with the lessons of kindness, warmth, patience, and that love is unlimited.  We are all grateful for Jane’s life.  We look forward to the day that we can join her in Heaven.

Jane will always be dancing in our hearts and her foot prints in our soul. .

A life celebration gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers for the family to help please consider donating to the go fund me site below to help to her family with the funeral and the remaining medical expenses.
