Hi! My name is Carla Gerke. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2010 at the age of 20. I was practically symptom free for 8 years. In 2018, after going off of my medicine in hopes of starting a family, I had a bad relapse or “attack” that hospitalized me. I recovered mostly but still had lingering problems. I was well enough to be able to get pregnant and carry to full term and give birth to our beautiful daughter Andi in August of 2021. Since then, I have declined with my MS symptoms. My mobility is the main issue. I use a walker or walking sticks for short distances and a wheelchair for longer walks or times out and about.
I’m raising funds to be able to go to Puebla, Mexico where I can receive stem cell transplant with hopes of stopping all progression. It is not a cure, but can stop it in its tracks!
Thank you for considering!
