Tracey Rathsburg and Laura Mihm, alongside Good Shepherd Preschool, are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of our preschool teacher, Emily Steiger.

“Can I talk to you in your office?” Emily said with a sigh.

“Absolutely!” I said, hoping my preschool teacher, and dear friend was ok.  Normally our mornings are full of, “How was your weekend?” or “Can I borrow your star whole punch?”, or “I prepped this lesson for you!”

Emily then started to tell me that her back pain was actually cancer in her kidney. She would have to have surgery, among other treatments, and she would have a long, slow recovery. A recovery that a mother of 4 beautiful, busy children, a preschool teacher, and loving wife has no time for. 

Emily is fabulous in every aspect of the word! She is kind, creative, and loves others in a big, fabulous way.  Our goal is to lessen the stress that comes with a cancer diagnosis as much as possible. With YOUR help and generosity, Emily and her family will be able to focus on her recovery. Your donations will help with medical costs, food for their family of 6, and the cost of many unknowns right now.
