Our beloved Ms. Dee has two detached retinas (!)

As most of you know, Ms. Dee recently found out that she has one fully detached retina and one partially detached retina. 

Ms. Dee had emergency laser surgery on Friday on her right eye and will have surgery this Wednesday on her left eye.  She currently has 25% vision in her left eye, and the surgeon isn’t hopeful that he’ll be able to salvage any more than that.  To recover from this Wednesday's surgery, she will need to be face-down for 23 hours/day in a special chair her family is ordering.  Ms. Dee will be out of work for at least three weeks, and her husband will also take time off to care for her.
