Ms. Coleman Goes to Washington

tldr/entire thing because I don't tldr too well: I silently applied to attend the first-ever TechHire Summit on December 21st AT THE WHITE HOUSE and just received an invitation to join!! TechHire was started in 2015 by Obama (miss you already) and is "an initiative to rapidly train and place more people from all backgrounds into open tech jobs." I'll be with ~"100 other technologists, innovators and community leaders to celebrate the success of TechHire to date, share best practices, and plan for the future of TechHire and other initiatives aiming to expand access to training for open tech jobs across the country and across sectors." This + Me = The dream + everything I think about and work towards.
It's really last minute and transportation + accommodations aren't provided. I sadly have $0 to make this happen, and with it being next week and right before Christmas, everything is extra when I just want to learn and be inspired by the opportunities we have right now.
I ask for a lot because I know we all want to do more and just need a little push/reminder sometimes, and I really really need help to make this happen because I can't do this alone. I will be/am eternally grateful for my champions, friends, supporters, silent praisers, challengers, and all of the other believers out there who know things can get better and are willing to try.
-Flights are running around $900 r/t SFO-DC and am hoping to buy one ASAP.
-I can crash with a friend or friend of a friend (any takers?)
-City Transportation/to-from airports: $250
-Food day in/out + networking/drinks $$: $350
-Anything extra/over will go to furthering my independent research.
Also, fingers crossed I meet *somebody* and they take me with them on their next project. (cough, Obama)
