Ms. Beanie Godwin's Birthday Bath Fix

When Colleen, Beanie, bought her house the sellers got away without fixing the shower so that it can be USED as a shower and, given Colleen's upcoming 5 days a week of radiation and chemo, she needs more than a bathtub and would benefit from just letting hot water run down her and help her feel less icky after treatments. We estimate it will be about $700 for a plumber to remove tiles, replace hot and cold lines, and make sure water pressure comes through, then some water-resistant particle board and tiles can go back up! We increased the goal because the water lines may be more involved than originally thought. All funds will go to help make her home as safe and comfortable as possible for these coming months. IF you would like to contribute, I know she will praise each and every one of you every time she relaxes under that wonderfully relaxing water. She has already stated she would rather her friends pool their resources and get her this than buy her a shot on her birthday or something.

Thank you ALL for such generosity. We have increased the amounts a couple of times after talking with plumbers and stuff and fear it might be more. We will share with each of you how the money isused and, better yet, pictures of the fixed shower! Probably NOT with Colleen in it. ;-? or not?
