Ms. Ashley’s Travel Expenses (#supportMsAshley)

Deepest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has reached out to Ashley Gayle, a long-time Teacher and member of this community who has contributed so much to the lives of our children. This is a person who is hard-working and an extremely successful artist who was recently promoted to associate artistic director at PUSH Dance Company. ❤️

Most of you may know by now that Ms. Ashley’s car was stolen while she was teaching at an OUSD Elementary school last week. She has been working with the Oakland Police Dept., as the car was used in a crime, and unfortunately has still not been recovered.

It’s not easy for Ms. Ashley to ask for help but we value her leadership and contribution over the years. We also understand how costly getting to-and-from work is here in the San Francisco Bay Area, so we started this fundraiser to help offset her travel expenses.

Because the car was stolen there are various wait periods but even then, Ms. Ashley has already incurred unforeseen costs to get to her teaching job while the insurance figures out what to do from there. We hope to support Ms. Ashley in a month's travel to teach her classes and add stability to the learning and development of the youth.
