ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE CAN IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH PARKINSON'S
A message from Monika Gross, Executive Director of The Poise Project:
In one month I will be going to the 4TH WORLD PARKINSON CONGRESS in Portland Oregon to advocate for Alexander technique as an important part of interdisciplinary care to help manage symptoms of Parkinson's.
I will be bringing a Team made up of Alexander professionals with expertise in working with People Living with Parkinson's, a group of Alexander students with Parkinson's, their spouses and partners, and a number of health professionals. Everyone believes passionately in the value of Alexander for managing symptoms of Parkinson's.
MORGAN RYSDON IS A KEY MEMBER OF MY TEAM
Morgan has been delivering the Alexander technique component of the Edmund J Safra Parkinson Wellness Program at the JCC in NYC in partnership with NYU Langone Hospital.
Morgan started as Assistant Teacher to Bill Connington, who pioneered the Alexander class, and when Bill moved on to teach at Yale three years ago, Morgan became Lead Teacher. She has now been honored by being chosen to present a Featured Workshop during the Congress for People Living with Parkinson's in the WPC's Renewal Room Program.
I am asking for your help.
WILL YOU HELP US RAISE FUNDS FOR MORGAN'S TRAVEL TO THE WORLD PARKINSON CONGRESS?
Please help me create a stipend to meet her costs for travel, accommodations and time away from work with your generous contribution of $10, $15, $25, $50, $100 or more.
$1000 or our goal will go to Morgan's travel stipend, and the rest of our goal amount of $3000 Morgan is contributing to our General Travel Fund to assist in travel stipends for all of our Poise Project Team Members to go to Portland. They are listed below!
