Mister Socks had to be rushed to an emergency veterinarian (Pinnacle Veterinary Hospital) in Glenn Mills to be diagnosed and treated for a urinary tract blockage. After, seeing the doctor, she informed me of the exuberant costs of $985 minimum to treat my baby. Wide eyed and scared I agreed to whatever it takes to help my baby. I tried to get approved for care credit, and scratch pay, but unfortunately was denied. I know it’s due to my divorce that demolished my credit, and I have been rebuilding. I am a single mother of 2 amazing boys( 13 in 3 days, and 8 yrs. old) we love our Mr. Socks so much and would do anything to get him well!
So, after being denied credit, the doctor said directly to me, “Well I suggest you consider euthanasia if you cannot pay the $985 to start his treatment.” It was like a knife in my heart to hear such an emotionless suggestion from a doctor !!! I was mortified! So please if anyone can help me, my boys and especially My baby, Mr. Socks - we would be ever so grateful!!! He is the most amazing kitty!! So cool and calm and lived so much by us all. He gained his unique name , from the stories I used to make up for my boys when they were little, so he is like a story come to life! I promise and swear I will absolutely pay it forward as I have done my entire life. Thank. You for taking the time to read our story. ❤️
