We are saddened by the passing of Mrs. Mieti Kumsa Woreti.

She was the wife of Mr. Teshome Terressa Woreti , the initiator & one of the founding members of the Oromo Community Organization in DC Maryland, and Virginia about 33 years ago. Prior to coming to the USA as a refugee along with his spouse, he had established the first Ethiopian Community Organization in Yemen Arab Republic (known also then as North Yemen) while he was the Head of the Ethiopian Embassy in Sanaa, Yemen. Mrs. Woreti (also known as Belainesh Kumsa until she changed her first name). She was known to relatives and acquaintances who knew her as one of the most caring and compassionate persons. She was born to an Oromo father and mother, Obbo Kumsa Bojor and Aaddee Barshee Ammo, respectively, on July 15, 1963, in Horroo Guduruu, Oromia. She passed away on December 18, 2021. She had been extremely loved by relatives & acquaintances because of her highest ethical standards & compassion. This is, therefore to encourage all to honor Mrs. Mieti Kumsa Woreti (also known as Belainesh Kumsa Bojor) by covering the funeral & related expenses.
