Mrs. Walters Needs Our Help
With the heaviest heart, we share this devastating news with you all. On August 5th, Keri ("Angie" Glaub) Walters -- or, to countless children, Mrs. Walters -- was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma (an aggressive brain tumor). On July 27, Keri underwent a craniotomy at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL where doctors removed as much of the tumor as safely possible. Subsequently, Keri is doing intensive physical therapy and will go through 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. Treatment for this will put a great strain on Keri and her family. Donations will help ease the burden of medical costs as well as other related expenses.
Now is our time to give back to the teacher who gave so much to us. Mrs. Walters taught in Chester-East Lincoln School District in Lincoln, IL for 30 years. Recently she has been teaching in Springfield, IL for District 186. Mrs. Walters has dedicated her life to teaching children and making a difference in their lives. For all of us who know her, who love her, and have been taught by her - let's make a difference. Keri is a FIGHTER --and she has kept her sense of humor and optimism that we all know and love through this battle --but she needs our help and support. Please donate if you can. Thoughts and prayers will be appreciated also.
