Ms. Jacqueline Porter goes by many monikers including teacher, matriarch, community grandmother and last but not least Mom. Some of you may have noticed that she has not been in church or in school recently and that would be due to a multitude of medical issues that she is currently being treated for. However, due to her current circumstances her family is concerned enough to share that she's not doing well medically or mentally.

We've had quite an end to 2023 getting proper diagnoses which has been a separate challenge; both emotionally and financially. She will be starting off the year with eye surgery and treatment of liver disease. If all goes well, then that will then be followed by kidney and thyroid surgery. So any funds we can collect will go to her medical co-pays (surgery and prescriptions) as well as transportation, part time companion/nurse aid, etc.

For those of you who know Ms. Porter (aka Miss Jackie), you know she's a very private person so we share this out of an abundance of concern and love. Any help you can share would be greatly appreciated: your time, prayers or monetarily. She can't wait to see the kids at Bartle again whether it's to substitute teach again or just to visit.
