The heart of Ladybridge Primary School, is heavy with a profound sense of loss. Mrs Mugal, our beloved teaching assistant who dedicated three decades to nurturing young minds, unexpectedly passed away in December. Every day, her warmth enveloped the children and families she touched; she brightened the classroom, instilling a love for learning and a sense of belonging in every student. Mrs Mugal's impact was immeasurable; she was a beacon of positivity, always encouraging children, ‘my lovelies’, to reach for the stars. The news of her passing sent ripples of sorrow through the entire community, as both parents and children mourned the loss of their cherished friend.
In a heartfelt effort to celebrate her spirit and continue her legacy, the school has decided to create an outdoor reading garden in her memory. This garden would be a sanctuary for students—a tranquil space where they can immerse themselves in books and share stories.
The design will include a large canopy to shield readers from the elements, comfortable seating for quiet reflection, vibrant planting to attract butterflies, and a Memorial Wall adorned with messages and memories from those whose lives she touched.
The estimated cost of this beautiful tribute was £15,000, a figure that feels daunting but necessary to honour the profound impact Mrs Mugal had on our school community.
The school has launched this GoFundMe page, inviting parents, pupils (new and old), members of the community and local businesses to contribute to this heartfelt project.
Each donation will not just be a financial contribution but a heartfelt message of love and gratitude for a woman who had given so much to others.
Please show your support for this amazing lady and help us create her memorial garden. All donations will be greatly appreciated
