Our hearts are shattered. Two days ago, we suffered an unimaginable loss—the sudden passing of our beloved mother.

She was the heart of our family, a woman of boundless love, grace, and kindness. My parents shared 56 beautiful years together, raising eight of us—five daughters and three sons—with unwavering devotion. She was not just our mother; she was a mother to all, a woman who opened her arms and home to everyone she met. Her warmth made the world feel safer, her laughter made life brighter, and her love made everything whole.

But in an instant, everything changed.

While traveling home with my father on a Qatar Airways flight, my beautiful mother suffered a cardiac arrest mid-flight. The crew fought desperately to save her, but she passed away before the plane could land in Canada, where it was diverted in an emergency attempt to get her medical help. Now, she is thousands of miles away from home, and we are left with the heartbreaking task of bringing her back—either to Nigeria, our homeland, or here with us in the United States.

Her body remains in Canada, and to release her, we must cover embalming and transportation costs of $15,000. It is an amount we simply do not have. We have reached out to every possible avenue for assistance.
