Meet Jarnay Mills

Jarnay was one of 11 who got shot at Meadow Lake Park last weekend. She was shot in the jaw. After a 3 hour surgery her mouth has been wired shut for the next 4-6 weeks. Then she will have to undergo at least one more surgery.

Over the last few years we have gotten to know Jarnay and her beautiful family!

Jarnay is beautiful young lady inside and out. She is inspiring to become a Doctor.

She has a 4.2 GPA!

She started taking college courses in her Jr. Year of high school. On this week while in the hospital she missed her graduation ceremony from Midlands technical college.

On Thursday May 25 she is determined to walk across the stage to receive her high school diploma.

Although she will miss her 2 day college orientation , she has vowed not to let this stop her from attending the Science program at Clemson university in August of this year.

We are asking all our friends and family to please help keep this family and all those whose lives have forever been affected by last weekend’s senseless shooting in prayer.

We are also asking for financial support for this family. The most immediate need is household bills for this month . Her mother is on a NON PAID FMLA leave of absence from work.

This week I have been checking in with her mom asking if she needed anything to please let us know.

Jarnay was discharged from the hospital on yesterday. Today Sinclair and I went to visit. After finding out her mom was out of work WITHOUT pay my heart dropped. I felt in my spirit that I needed to ask for help. We don’t have much but with the little we do have and the little YOU might have , we can give to this family and ask God to multiply it beyond our greatest expectations!
