Mrs. Fuller's Button Project
Donation protected
As many of you know our Town lost an amazing woman last Saturday. Longtime preschool teacher (Here We Grow), PTO member, ARC member, and most recently, AHS School Improvement Council member, Mrs. Fuller was the epitome of love and positivity. On July 22nd she had sent me a message about something called “The Button Project,” in the hopes that she and I could gather a group of people/resources to make this project happen for Auburn Public Schools (See the link below) She explained to me that, “a smiling teacher is so necessary to feel safe.” We reached out to our Superintendent who gave us the thumbs up, thank you Casey Handfield. We began to start to brainstorm how we could possibly make this happen for Auburn and that is as far as we got. Now, I want nothing more than to make Mrs. Fuller’s vision a reality as we open our school doors to our students in September. In addition, we will be also making these buttons for the Here We Grow staff so Mrs. Fuller's little loves will also start school by seeing a "smiling teacher."
Thank you in advance for donating to this amazing project. Any extra funds raised will be donated to Auburn Youth and Family Services in Mrs. Fuller's name.
UPDATE:
Given the generosity of our community, who fully funded Mrs.Fuller's Button Project within hours and continue to donate, in addition to AYFS, a donation will be made in Mrs.Fuller's name to PinkyHippy.org, a non profit group that touched her personally. Pinkhippy relies on donations to provide free restorative yoga classes for cancer patients and their families. Mrs.Fuller, her sister and a friend faithfully attended classes, where they found comfort and enjoyed their time together.
