Hello, my name is Grace Cheung and I am a senior at the Bear Creek School. As many of you know, both Lindy and Dan Broyles teach here at Bear Creek - they also coach sports, chaperone trips, play games with students during lunch, and a million other things that have made them a vital part of our community! Unfortunately, their car recently broke down and needs repairing. Prices for repairs (and for used cars) are astronomically high at the moment and it has meant that these two teachers and their family are feeling pretty crushed by the weight of their circumstances.
The Broyles and their children served on the mission field in Tanzania for years - they have sacrificed the ability to accumulate an emergency fund and they have also seen God work to provide for their needs time and time again. I asked Mrs. Broyles if she felt comfortable with me doing a fundraiser for her car - she at first said, "Just pray for us. God has a plan for us." But she also said she knew God would use a lot of different ways to provide. It is on my heart to respond to God's call and help raise some funds to cover costs for the car repairs.
So whether you're a student, parent, or faculty from Bear Creek, or relatives or friends, or someone who just so happened to stumble across this page, helping the Broyles repair their car (or even get another car) can be made possible with your help! They are loved and treasured dearly by us students and faculty at Bear Creek, and I can't wait to see what God will continue to do through all of this.
