This weekend, our school community suffered an unimaginable loss. A husband has lost his wife, and two teenage children have lost their mum. Our wonderful teacher, Miss Brophy, has sadly passed away after bravely battling cancer.

Despite everything she was going through, she never let her pain show. Her smile, her warmth, and the hugs she gave so freely made every child feel safe, valued, and loved. You would never have known the worry she carried. She showed up for her pupils every single day with strength and kindness.

Taken far too soon, in her 40s, she leaves behind a family who adored her and who now face a future without the person who was the heart of their home.

This page has been created so her family can see just how deeply she was loved by everyone at St Ann’s Primary School — and to offer them support during a time no family should ever have to face. Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease the immediate pressures and give her husband and children the space to grieve without added financial worry.
