This is our 8 month old puppy Rooster. We got him in February to add to our young family.
Rooster has grown up to be the most loving and gentle dog we could have hoped for.
Unfortunately in May, 10 weeks after getting Rooster and at just 4 months old, he suffered his first violent seizure in his bed. He’s since gone on to have 4 seizures. They are becoming more frequent with the time in between the 3rd and 4th seizure being only 12 days. As he is such a young dog the vets were a little baffled as to what it could be that’s causing these episodes. We have been told that without any veterinary intervention the cause of these awful seizures may become life threatening and with intervention comes cost. As Rooster is just a puppy we can safely say we did not anticipate having to find as much money that is required to test for the problem and then treat it. As you can imagine we are completely devastated. This just is not something you picture when you bring home a puppy.
The costs involved are far more than we ever imagined needing to find, and we want nothing more than to give Rooster the chance to live the long, happy life he deserves.
So far the blood tests alone are £400 and for a CT/MRI scan we have been told it will be £2000. These are just diagnosis costs and not treatment aswell.
We are asking for help—no matter how big or small—to cover the costs of Rooster’s diagnosis and treatment. Every donation will go directly towards his veterinary care, and even if you cannot donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
