Help The Peters Family

Growing up in the northern CT high school hockey community, you often hear the last name Peters brought up. Jesse has been a focal point in building and developing HS hockey in Connecticut, whether through his coaching or his new endeavor running CT HS Hockey.

Also, living in the area, you might know the Peters through their small business Hammer and Stain in South Windsor. Stefanie has built and established a strong community relationship through her many workshops.

Recently, the Peters were blessed with news of a baby boy, Anthony. The family hoped that Anthony would be born 2/2/22, as their favorite athlete is #2, Derek Jeter. Unfortunately, Anthony had other plans; late in November, Anthony entered this world due to complications from Covid. Anthony had a level 4 brain hemorrhage, leaving a 50/50 chance to develop congenital disabilities.

So far, Anthony has defied odds left and right but still has what is called Hydrocephalus, a complication where fluid from the brain does not properly drain to the spine. This has led the Peters to seek experts in this area at Boston Children's Hospital. Unfortunately, this will ultimately leave a financial burden on them from the medical care and the time they will take for traveling to see their baby boy.

The Peters aren't ones to ask for anything, but my family and I took it upon ourselves to try and raise money to ease their financial burden.
